Style Watch: Lauren Conrad has purple hair!

LCSo our favourite girl from ‘The Hills’, Lauren Conrad has dyed her hair purple!

LC is known for her perfectly curled coifed blonde hair, so I have to say I was a little shocked that she went for such a bold move. She did get multi-colour streaks in the ends of her locks back in 2011, so I guess I shouldn’t be that surprised, but this is the first time she has properly changed her overall look.

The 28-year-old announced the news on her blog under the title ‘Pretty in Purple’ and I have to say that I definitely agree she looks great. Obviously you can’t see the overall effect as the image only gives you a glimpse of the fashionista’s new look. However, from what I can see, if suits her colouring perfectly and looks absolutely gorgeous.

Lauren says the colour she used is semi-permanent, so it will last from 6 to 8 weeks, which is a definite bold move, as some coloured dyes fade almost as quickly as you put them in.

I am extremely jealous of anyone with blonde hair who can achieve this look easily, as I adore it. Being brunette all my life, I have only really experimented with red shades so far, as this easily washes out again. I have decided that I am definitely going to experiment with dip-dyed ends this spring/summer however, which will enable me to experiment with more colours. I  might even try going fully blonde for the first time after that – exciting!

Anyway what do you think of Miss Conrad’s new purple do’? And do you think pastel shades will be big this summer?

Let me know below!

P.s. She published the on April 1, so I hope it wasn’t an April Fools!
