My top five tracks of the moment #1

I absolutely love music and am always out on the search for new material. In fact I even help to run a music blog (The Sound Blog if you want to check it out).

However, I must admit that my search for new songs fell by the wayside over the Christmas period, as I blasted out ‘Last Christmas’ repeatedly.

So I thought I would do a post on my give favourite tracks of the moment to maybe bring some new music into your life, if like me, you neglected good times for Christmas jingles over the past month.

If you have any suggestions of other good tracks you think I might like, please feel free to list them in the comments section. I love discovering new songs/artists.

1. Childish Gambino – ‘3005’

You’ve probably heard this track as it’s getting a lot of radio play right now. I’ve included it on my list though as I literally have it on repeat at the moment. This is the first track that I’ve really got into from Gambino but has made me listen to his other tracks too now. It also has an awesome video which you can check out here.

2. Vance Joy – ‘Riptide’

When I first heard this, I thought it was a new song from Jack Penate, who I love! However, it was actually Aussie folk pop singer Vance Joy. This is such a catchy little upbeat number and will definitely put you in a good mood after you listen to it. If you want to know more about Vance Joy, check out the post we did on him on our music blog here.

3. Clean Bandit – ‘Rather Be’ feat. Jess Glynne

I’ve loved this band for a while now and this has yet failed to dampen. Mixing classical music with modern beats, these Cambridge Uni graduates really offer something different. As I said, literally every song of their’s I have loved so far, including this latest one, ‘Rather Be’.

4. Jessy Lanza – ‘Keep Moving’

I discovered this song thanks to Annie Mac, who included it on her ‘Annie Mac Presents’ playlist. If you are a fan of Jessie Ware, then you will love this, as Jessy has a similar tone and chilled out style. I love this song to just sit and chill out to.

5. Hot Natured & Ali Love – ‘Benediction’

I’m pretty sure most of you have heard this club banger by now. I had to include it though as I have literally listened to it about a million times though now and it never bores me. Definitely one of my favs at the moment.
